MANHATTAN — After a record-breaking high temperature Monday, New Yorkers can expect the unseasonably balmy weather to continue with warmer-than-average temperatures forecast through the end of the week.

The temperature remained summer-like Tuesday despite clouds and scattered showers expected, with a high of 66 degrees forecast, according to AccuWeather.

Monday's 70-degree high in Central Park, which broke a 115-year-old record for Nov. 28, had many shedding their jackets and sweatshirts for shorts and T-shirts.

"Yesterday was way too warm. I had to turn my air conditioner on at the end of November just to sleep," said Chris Hill, 58, of Chelsea.

"I prefer it to be in the 40s right now. It’s not what I’m prepared for. I, for one would, welcome a little December weather."

The warm weather even allowed some plants on the High Line to produce new blooms this late in the year, according to the elevated park's Twitter feed.

November temperatures generally hover at about 48 degrees on average, with highs in the mid-50s.

look at the five-day forecast shows the high temperature will dip to a more seasonally appropriate 56 degrees Wednesday and 51 degrees on Thursday and Friday.
