MANHATTAN SUPREME COURT — Julie Pacino, daughter of legendary actor Al Pacino, pleaded guilty to a DWI offense in exchange for a 90-day license suspension and a $300 fine, prosecutors said Thursday.
The offer made to Julie Pacino is standard for first-time driving while intoxicated offenders who do not crash or injure anyone, according to the DA's office. She must also attend a drinking and driving education program.
Pacino's 2009 black Mercedes was pulled over on West Houston Street on July 30, 2011 and she was found to have a blood alcohol level of 0.13, which is above the 0.08 legal limit.
She told arresting officers she "had about three beers and I smoked weed at home. That was a few hours ago," according to the criminal complaint.
Pacino was supposed to appear in court on Thursday, the date she entered the plea. She is not expected to reappear in court on this matter.
