Bridge and Tunnel Work Starting Saturday Could Snarl Traffic

MANHATTAN — The Metropolitan Transit Authority issued an advisory alerting commuters of lane closures on several bridges and tunnels citywide that will affect Manhattan drivers starting Saturday.

The Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel will have two lanes closed, one in both directions from 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, with additional closures to occur if needed.

The Henry Hudson Bridge will have one lane closed on both upper and lower levels from Monday through Friday of next week from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m, and Sunday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The Queens-Midtown Tunnel will have one lane closed in each direction Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

The Robert F. Kennedy Bridge will have lane closures in both directions on the Harlem River span Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.. In the evenings there will be closures from 9 p.m. through 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday and from 10 p.m. to 10 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

The Harlem span will have one lane closed from the FDR off-ramp Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The 125th Street off-ramp will have one lane closed Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
