Summer Restaurant Week Kicks Off Monday

MANHATTAN — The summer incarnation of Restaurant Week kicks off Monday.

Foodies will be able to dine at some of the top restaurants in Manhattan — with special prix-fixe lunch menus running $24.07 and dinner going for $35.00 — from July 11-24.

Celebrity chef Michael White's Osteria Morini headlines the new restaurants that have joined the roughly 320 participating in the semi-annual event. Meatpacking District steakhouse Macelleria, Flatiron District Indian restaurant Junoon and Chelsea's Socarrat Paella Bar are also among the newcomers.

To celebrate the 20th year of Restaurant Week, NYC & Co. announced that several restaurants that participated in the first event are coming back: the 21 Club, Tribeca Grill, Le Cirque, Delmonico's, and Barbetta.

Participating restaurants began taking reservations through OpenTable on June 27, NYC & Co. said in a statement.

The eateries offer the special menus Monday-Friday. Saturdays are excluded, but Sundays are optional, NYC & Co. said.
