MANHATTAN — The New York Office of the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch on Friday until 9 p.m.
The watch area includes Manhattan, and the outer four boroughs.
The Forecast for this evening calls for showers and thunderstorms, some severe during the afternoon and evening hours.
Rainfall could be up to a quarter-inch, with potentially higher totals during storms.
