MANHATTAN — The Plaza Hotel is offering guests yet another way to experience the beloved Eloise children's books during their visit to the Big Apple.

Beginning this month, guests of the hotel can rent Eloise-themed bicycles, tricycles and scooters from the their real-life "Tricycle Garage" and use the vehicles to tour Central Park and other nearby landmarks, a company statement announced.

The garage offers Radio Flyer tricycles in pink and red, as well as bicycles with the option of training wheels, at prices ranging from $20 for 2 hours to $40 for an all day rental.

The Eloise series, which tells the story of a young girl living inside the historic hotel, has given rise to numerous Plaza attractions, including an Eloise-inspired suite designed by Betsy Johnson, since its publication in 1955.

A previous version of the Tricycle Garage opened at the Plaza in 1956, unveiled by then Hollywood starlet Jayne Mansfield and her daughter, according to the statement.
