MANHATTAN - Byron Brito is painting the town red.
The Upper East Side shoe repairman is helping the Big Apple's ladies give their low-end shoes a high-end makeover, accordng to a published report.
Brito, of Andrade Shoe Repair, on East 85th Street, is advertising a $32 makeover in which he paints shoe soles red to look like those on Christian Louboutins, the New York Post said.
The famed and pricey shoes, introduced in 1992, have become a cultural touchstone, featured on "Sex and the City" and even garnering their own song with Jennifer Lopez's "Louboutins," the report said.
Brito hatched the idea after doing custom repair work for women with Louboutins, according to the Post.

Also offering the makeover is the Midtown Leather Spa, the report said.
Attempts to copy the shoes have led to lawsuits, including one against Yves Saint Laurent, which was sued for trademark infringement in April for carrying red-soled shoes, according to the paper.
