MURRAY HILL — Call them the bed bug bandits.

Two armed men wearing dust masks pushed their way into an apartment near 31st Street and Third Avenue and robbed a person after telling their victim they were checking for bed bugs, police said.

The suspects allegedly threatened the victim with a firearm before striking him or her in the head in the May 24 attack.

They then bound the victim's hands and feet together and stole an unknown amount of property, before fleeing the scene in a silver Dodge Nitro.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic man, 25-30 years old, who was wearing a gray jacket, stone washed jeans and a dust mask.

The second is described as a Hispanic man, 40-50 years old wearing a black jacket with gray stripe, black jeans and a dust mask.

Two men are wanted by police after pretending to be bed bug inspectors and them robbing a Murray Hill apartment.
