MANHATTAN — Four FDNY firefighters in dress uniform reportedly attacked and robbed a cab driver who kicked them out of his taxi on St. Patrick's Day last week, the New York Daily News reported.

Driver Bouchaib Fadrany claims that the men hailed his cab outside a bar on West 48th Street and Eighth Avenue around 10:30 p.m. last week and asked to be dropped off at Inwood, the News reported.

But the men got so rowdy in the back seat that Fadrany dropped them off at Columbus Circle instead, the paper reported. One of the firefighters then reportedly punched Fadrany in the face and spat on him.

After an ensuing tussle, one of the men grabbed Fadrany's jacket, which he said had $500 in cash in one of the pockets, and ran away, according to the News.

Officials with the FDNY told the News that they were taking Fadrany's allegations seriously police were investigating the assault.
