MANHATTAN — Donald Trump demanded President Barack Obama show his birth certificate to put an end to rumors Obama wasn't born in the U.S., according to reports.

The Donald made the challenge while appearing on ABC's "The View" on Wednesday to discuss his own White House aspirations, the Daily News reported.

"I want him to show his birth certificate; I want him to show his birth certificate," Trump said on the show. "There's something on that birth certificate that he doesn't like."

Trump's opinion bothered several of "The View's" hosts, in particular Whoopi Goldberg, who responded to the billionaire's statement with, "I think that's the biggest pile of dog mess I've heard in ages."

Trump, who counts his job hosting "The Apprentice" among his many accomplishments, said he was "very strongly" considering a 2012 presidential run and would make his decision before June.

"I think I'd do a really good job," Trump said on the show. "I think I'd protect this country like it's not being protected."

Trump said if he were to run and secured the Republican nomination he felt confident about his chances of besting Obama.

"I think I could beat him," Trump said on "The View."
