MANHATTAN — Carmelo Anthony may not be the New York Knicks' savior after all.
The Knicks record dropped to 7-8 since trading for Antony last month after a 100-95 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday.
New York trailed 32-9 after the first quarter and never led as the Knicks lost for the fifth time in six games.
"There’s no time for anybody on the team to panic," Anthony told the Associated Press. "We’re losing some games that we’re supposed to win, but I feel that it’s a learning process for us. I’m not really concerned about where we are as a team or us losing games or winning games, as long as we get better at the things we need to get better at, then I’m cool with that."
The Knicks nine-point first quarter was their lowest-scoring first quarter in 55 years and their worst offensive quarter overall in four years, according to STATS, LLC.
Anthony bounced back from his worst game in a Knicks uniform to score 23 points on 7-of-14 shooting against the Bucks. Amar'e Stoudemire scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to pace New York.
Anthony scored just six points on 2-for-12 shooting in Friday's 99-95 loss against the Detroit Pistons.
The Knicks host the Boston Celtics at Madison Square Garden on Monday night.
