MANHATTAN — Alternate side parking rules resumed Monday after weeks of suspensions as a result of holidays and storms.

Parking meter rules were also in effect.

The Department of Transportation had suspended the rules last week for the Asian Lunar New Year holiday and Martin Luther King, Jr. Day the week before that.

Several snowstorms and holidays led the city to suspend alternate side parking nearly every day since Dec. 26.

Forecasters predicted another onslaught of snow for Manhattan Tuesday, but with little accumulation.
