MANHATTAN — The Manhattan bridge was shut down in both directions because of police activity on Thursday night.
The city's Office of Emergency Management sent an alert about 8:50 p.m. notifying residents of the closure. The bridge was reopened about 9:10 p.m.
Police could not immediately provide details on the situation.
