MANHATTAN — Amar'e Stoudemire banged bodies and matched baskets with All Star center Dwight Howard, but it wasn't enough as the New York Knicks lost to the Orlando Magic 112-103 on Thursday night.

Stoudemire scored 30 points despite being in foul trouble at several points during the game, including midway through the fourth quarter when the Knicks were rallying. Howard led the Magic with 24 points and 18 rebounds.

"I thought we were really feeding off each other,” Stoudemire told the Associated Press. “If I didn’t get in foul trouble, it would have been a different game for sure.”

The Knicks, who have lost five of their last seven games, got 29 points from Wilson Chandler and Shawne Williams chipped in with 15 off the bench.

Point guard Ray Felton had a rough night, scoring 14 points on 6-for-22 shooting with a game-high six turnovers. Starting shooting guard Landry Field missed all three of his shots and failed to score. Fields has just three points in the last two games, shooting a combined 1-for-9 in losses to Orlando and Miami.
