MANHATTAN — Manhattan drivers will get one-day break as alternate side parking will be suspended on Wednesday.
Parking meter regulations are still in effect however so New Yorkers will still have to feed the meters.
The Department of Transportation suspended the alternate side rules in observance of the Immaculate Conception, a Catholic religious holiday.
Regular rules go back into effect on Thursday.
The next time drivers get a break will be Dec. 24 and 25 when both parking meters and alternate side parking are suspended for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
