CHELSEA — Two men were arrested for allegedly robbing a West Side massage parlor Sunday night, sources said.
Police apprehended the alleged robbers, one of whom was reportedly carrying a gun, as they exited through the back door of Asian Bodywork, located in the basement of 237 West 14th Street, according to sources.
Employees at the business declined to comment Monday.
Winston Marcel, 47, who lives in the Spanish Benevolent Society next door to the massage parlor, said he heard the standoff from inside his apartment.
"I was listening by the window and I heard the cops yell 'Hands up!'" said Marcel, who was afraid to look out the window. "I figured they caught them but 10 minutes later I heard helicopters."
The Daily News said police taped off part of the block between Seventh and Eighth Avenues and were on the hunt for a possible third assailant after the initial arrests.
No one was injured during the incident, which happened around 10:30 p.m. although four women were inside the massage parlor at the time, according to the News.
