MANHATTAN — The New York Jets offense was a scary sight on Halloween.

The Jets came out flat after a bye week and failed to put up any points in a 9-0 loss against the short-handed Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

"I wish we could play it again, do it over," Jets coach Rex Ryan told the Associated Press. "But there are no do-overs in this league."

Jets receivers dropped seven passes, and one of quarterback Mark Sanchez's two interceptions came after a receiver let a defensive back take the ball out of his hands.

"We left a lot of completions out there," Sanchez told reporters. "It’s just a poor job on my part."

Wide receiver Jericho Cotchery had three drops and one fumble that was challenged unsuccessfully by Ryan in the second quarter.

New York committed seven penalties and turned the ball over three times overall.

Gang Green's running game was stifled by a Packers defense that was missing several starters due to injuries. LaDainian Tomlinson ran for 54 yards on 16 carries for New York and Shonn Greene was held to 22 yards on the ground.

The Jets' (5-2) typically sound special teams unit struggled too. Kicker Nick Folk missed a field goal and punter Steve Weatherford came up a yard short on an ill-advised fake punt attempt on fourth and 18 in the first quarter.

New York was shutout at home for the first time since a 10-0 loss to Chicago on Nov. 19, 2006. The Jets have a week to regroup before hitting the road to play the Detroit Lions (2-5) next Sunday at Ford Field.
