MANHATTAN — Mariah Carey has something new to sing about.
The world-famous pop singer told Access Hollywood that she's pregnant with her first child in an exclusive interview that aired on the "TODAY Show" Thursday morning.
"Yes we are pregnant, this is true," Carey told Access Hollywood host Billy Bush in the interview at her home in TriBeCa.
The "Precious" star and her husband, Nick Cannon, said they're expecting the baby in the spring but wouldn't give an exact date.
Carey also divulged another secret, that she had suffered a miscarriage shortly after she and Cannon married two years ago.
The couple won't be finding out if it's a boy or a girl until its birth, according to Access Hollywood.
Before the new baby arrives, Carey will have to deliver another little bundle, her new album, "Merry Christmas 2 U" is due out on Nov. 2.
