WASHINGTON HEIGHTS — Three men are facing murder charges following a double stabbing on West 181st Street that left one man dead and another injured.

Omari Munroe was stabbed to death and his unidentified friend was knifed in the torso and thigh on Oct. 12. Prosecutors charged Neddy Mendoza, 25, and Yermi Morel, 32, of Washington Heights, and Alexis De La Rosa, 25, Harlem with murder and attempted murder last week.

A video obtained by the NYPD shows the murder victim “held at gunpoint, pulled out of the elevator and swung at with a baseball bat,” according to a complaint filed by the Manhattan District Attorney's Office.

Police said the three men identified themselves on the video, which was taken at 736 West 181st St., and described an incident that involved fighting inside and outside of the building’s elevator, second floor and lobby of the building, according to the criminal complaint.

Police investigated the crime scene well into the night after responding to a 911 call at approximately 3:55 p.m. on Oct. 12.

The two victims were found on the second floor of the building after the attack, police said. Munroe was pronounced dead at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital, while the second man was treated for injuries at Harlem Hospital and released.

Morel said he brought a metal baseball bat to the building to fight with the two victims, and De La Rosa said he had a knife during the attacks that he dropped on the sidewalk when fleeing the building, according to the complaint.
