FINANCIAL DISTRICT — Police have arrested two New York City men in connection with last month’s murder of a Pace University student, the NYPD said.

Max Moreno, 21, was shot in the head in his luxury apartment at 2 Gold St. in the early morning of Sept. 29, after allegedly selling marijuana to a couple, police said.

Following the drug deal, two gunmen burst into Moreno’s apartment and demanded money, police said. When he refused, they forced him into a bedroom and shot him, then fled with a box with unknown contents, police said.

Police arrested Raymond Rizzo, 30, of Brooklyn, and charged him with murder, the NYPD said. They also arrested Randy Colon, 30, of the East Village, who is in custody in Pennsylvania and is being extradited to New York, police said.

Rizzo and Colon are believed to be the two gunmen who accosted Moreno, an NYPD spokesman said.

The 1st Precinct Detective Squad and Manhattan South Homicide Squad worked together to track down the suspects, police said.

Police previously released surveillance footage of the two suspected gunmen.
