MANHATTAN — Police are searching for a man wanted in connection with robbing two uptown bank in recent weeks.
The suspect, who police described as in his 20s, entered a CitiBank branch at 1275 Madison Ave. on Oct. 7 about 2:15 p.m., handed the teller a note demanding money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, the NYPD said.
A little more than a week later, on Oct. 15, the man went into a Bank of America branch at 2380 Broadway about 3:30 p.m., handed the teller a similar note and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
The suspect is described as standing approximately 5-foot-8 with a medium build, and was last seen wearing a black knit hat, black wraparound sunglasses, and a gray hooded sweatshirt with the words "Aeropostale" written across the chest.
