MANHATTAN — A late pass interference penalty set up LaDainian Tomlinson's go ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter as the Jets rallied to beat the Denver Broncos 24-20 on Sunday.

The Jets (5-1) were down three points and facing a critical 4th down and 6 late in the fourth quarter when quarterback Mark Sanchez heaved up a pass toward Santonio Holmes near the Broncos goal line. Defensive back Renaldo Hill pulled Holmes' facemask slightly before the ball arrived, drawing a 46-yard pass interference penalty and setting the Jets up for Tomlinson's 2-yard score with 1:13 left in the game.

"Good teams find a way to win," Jets linebacker Bart Scott told the Associated Press. "It’s not always going to go your way."

Tomlinson was bottled up by the Broncos defense for three quarters before ripping off touchdown runs of 20 and 2 yards in the fourth quarter to continue personal his success against Denver.

"At first, we couldn’t win here when I was with the Chargers," said Tomlinson, who ran for just 55 yards on the day. "We went on a streak where every year we lost here. Eventually that turned around. Now, it seems like I can’t lose here. I guess it’s how it works out."

New York won despite a rocky day by Sanchez. The Jets quarterback threw two interceptions and was sacked twice by the Denver defense. The interceptions marked the first two turnovers of the season for Sanchez, who threw 20 interceptions last season.

The Jets improved their record to 5-1 to move into a first place tie with the New England Patriots in the AFC East. New York has a bye next week before taking on the Green Bay Packers on Halloween.
