MANHATTAN — Uh oh, looks like the mayor just put a jinx on the Bronx Bombers.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg is already planning the team's victory party just two games in to its playoff run.
Bloomberg said on his morning radio show Friday that he is trying to determine where exactly the Yankees' victory parade should begin on Broadway, despite the fact that the team is still a ways away from claiming the title.
"I'm sort of trying to figure out where the parade should start," the mayor said on his radio show, the New York Post reported.
The Yankees beat the Minnesota Twins Thursday to take a commanding 2-0 series lead heading back to New York.
The Yankees can assure their spot in the American League Championship Series with a win over Minnesota Saturday, but would still need to win eight more games to take the title.
"Don't get a head of yourself," a caller admonished the mayor on his morning show, the Post added.
"You have to plan," Bloomberg responded.
