CENTRAL PARK — Attorney General candidate Eric Schneiderman won the backing of the man he wants to replace Sunday.
Attorney General Andrew Cuomo gave the Upper West Side State Senator his backing at a Sunday press conference in Central Park.
"Eric has always been a leader for reform in Albany, never shying away from taking on the tough fights on behalf of all New Yorkers," Cuomo said.
"He is the clear choice to continue our positive and aggressive work in the Attorney General's office and I am proud to endorse him."
Schneiderman has already won endorsements from labor unions 1199/SEIU United Healthcare East and 32BJ, as well as elected officials including U.S. Reps. Jerry Nadler, Charles Rangel and Jose Serrano, NYC Public Advocate Bill de Blasio and City Council Speaker Christine Quinn.
