MANHATTAN — It was Lady Gaga night at the Video Music Awards on Sunday.

Manhattan's pop megastar took home eight moonman statues at the MTV awards show, including one for her hit single "Bad Romance," which was named Video of the Year.

The "Paparazzi" singer had received 13 VMA nominations, a record. She also won for Best Pop Video, Best Dance Video, Best Female Video, and Best Choreography, among others.

Lady Gaga had almost as many costume changes as awards. She showed up to the Los Angeles awards show in a regal red and gold get-up that was designed by the late Alexander McQueen, the Daily News reported.

McQueen committed suicide just before New York's Fashion Week earlier this year. In her acceptance speeches, Lady Gaga also paid tribute to McQueen, the New York Times reported.

She then changed into a black leather dress with a black spiked mohawk and a red dress that was apparently made of raw meat.

She also announced the title of her new album, "Born This Way," and thanked her gay fans, the Times said.

Last week Lady Gaga was accused of stealing the style of dead Staten Island girl, Lina Morgana.

Morgana's mother claimed Gaga, then known as Stefani Germanotta, got her inspiration for wild outfits and darker subject matter when she and Morgana worked together under the tutelage of producer Rob Fusari back in 2007.

Fusari and Gaga recently settled a $30 million lawsuit he had filed against her.
