MANHATTAN — Derek Jeter’s girlfriend and “Friday Night Lights” star Minka Kelly had some issues with her dog while flying from JFK to Los Angeles on Tuesday, the New York Post reported.

Kelly, 30, reportedly brought her 5-year-old cockapoo, Chewie, on the flight in a carrier and tried on the floor under her first-class seat.

A flight attendant then informed Kelly that the pet would have to be either stowed in a baggage compartment or in coach where the carrier could be stowed beneath the seat in front of her for takeoff and landing.

"I asked to speak to a supervisor, please," Kelly told the Post after the incident. "I called my manager's assistant to make sure she arranged everything and went through certain steps to make sure the dog can fly."

Gossip blog Gawker reported that Kelly then threw a fit, something her lawyer denied to the New York Daily News.

Luckily, a woman sitting next to Kelly offered a solution.

"A wonderful, wonderful woman next to me said, 'My parents are flying coach. My dad will switch seats with you if you want,' " Kelly told the Post.

The star sat in couch for takeoff and landing, returning to her and her dog’s more natural environment for the flight in between.
