MANHATTAN — Could a platinum blonde double-bill be in the works?

Fans are buzzing over a new report that says Madonna wants Lady GaGa to open for her on her next tour.

British tabloid News of the World said that the aging megastar is “absolutely obsessed” with the Manhattan-bred Gaga and that Madonna “desperately wants to work with her."

Online reaction to the rumor has been mixed, with not all fans supportive of the idea.

"Yeah...not gonna happen, sorry Madge. GaGa's a HEADLINER," the Twitter fan site gaganewsdotcom wrote, prompting dozens of followers to quickly retweet the message.

But Twitter user MarlowNYC hoped the deal would go through.

"A Madonna/Lady Gaga tour in the works? I will be there," the user tweeted on Sunday.

According to the report, the former Upper East Sider can "name her price" to be the opener on Madonna's next tour.
