MANHATTAN — Police are searching for two suspects in connection with armed robberies at a Midtown gift store and an Upper East Side liquor store early last week.

The men were armed with guns when they robbed Sutton Place Card and Gift on First Avenue near 59th Street around 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The pair wasted no time, striking again Tuesday afternoon when they held up the Big Apple Wine and Spirits story at liquor store on Second Avenue around 3:20 p.m., police said.

In each incident, the walked into the store, displayed his firearm and demanded cash. There were no injuries and no shots were fired in either incident, police said.

The suspects in the brazen daytime robberies are thought to be between the ages of 40 and 45 and between 5-foot 8 and 5-foot 10 tall.

One of the suspects was wearing a blue baseball hat with a black jacket and black pants, according to police. The second suspect was wearing a black baseball hat with a blue and black jacket and black pants.
