MANHATTAN — Victoria’s Secret supermodel Stephanie Seymour wants her estranged husband’s private eye to testify in the custody battle over the couple’s three children, the New York Post reported Thursday.
Seymour, 41, contends the PI is concocting scurrilous stories designed to show that she’s unfit to assume sole custody of the children she shares with her husband, billionaire Peter Brant.
Seymour’s lawyer argued that his client has a right to question the private investigator and review his written reports because it will show that it is her husband, billionaire Peter Brant, who’s an unfit parent, the Post reported papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court said.
Seymour claimed that the PI has been conducting “improper” surveillance calculated to “harass and defame” her, according to the Post.
Exposing this conduct, she contends, will substantiate her belief that it is Brant who lacks the “character and fitness” to be awarded custody of their kids.
The Post reported that the betting among courtroom observers is that Seymour will likely get her wish. The judge presiding over the Connecticut phase of the divorce suit has already approved the motion.
