MANHATTAN SUPREME COURT — Prosecutors offered a plea deal Tuesday to a teen accused of mimicking Brad Bitt's character in "Fight Club" when he allegedly set off explosives at a Starbucks on Memorial Day last year.

Nobody was hurt when the makeshift bomb, allegedly set by Kyle Shaw, now 18, went off outside the East 92nd Street and Third Avenue corporate coffee shop at 3 a.m., shattering storefront windows and damaging sidewalk property.

Shaw, who was reportedly obsessed with Pitt's anti-corporate "Fight Club" character, was charged with first-degree arson and criminal possession of a weapon, and faces a maximum of 25 years in prison if convicted of the top charge.

If he pleads guilty to a class "C" level felony, his promised sentence will be 3 1/2 years in prison plus five years post-release supervision.

"The offer is being made after careful consideration of all the factors including his age," said Assistant District Attorney Christopher Ryan.

After the incident, Shaw allegedly bragged to his friends about his prank. In his bedroom investigators found memorabilia of the cult classic "Fight Club" from 1999, prosecutors said.

Shaw's attorney, Adam Perlmutter, would not comment on the offer.

Shaw's case was adjourned to Sept. 7 so he can consider his options.
