MANHATTAN — Nearly two weeks after the Mets relocated a bird-flipping Lady Gaga to Jerry Seinfeld’s luxury box suite at Citi Field, the funnyman called the pop star a "jerk" Monday night, during an interview with Steve Somers on WFAN radio.
“This woman is a jerk, I hate her,” said Seinfeld. “I can’t believe they put her in my box, which I paid for.”
The Mets reportedly moved the Manhattan megastar to Seinfeld's private suite after the Flushing faithful greeted her arrival with a chorus of boos. In response, Gaga, bedecked in a leather jacket, a skimpy leather bikini and dark sunglasses, gave the crowd a double middle-finger salute. The Mets brass later apologized for the move.
On Monday night, Seinfeld was incredulous.
“You give people the finger and you get upgraded?” he asked Somers. “Is that the world we’re living in now?”
On Wednesday night, Seinfeld will join Mets announcer Keith Hernandez in the broadcast booth, and will help the Amazin's legend call three innings of the game.
They're expected to reminisce over Hernandez's starring turn in a classic 1992 "Seinfeld" episode called "The Boyfriend."
But after's Monday's revelation, it's possible Seinfeld could also throw some more chin music Gaga's way.
