MANHATTAN — A Massachusetts gas station attendant accused of being involved with the attempted Times Square bombing in May has been moved to New York by federal officials, the New York Post reported.
Aftab Khan and his cousin were detained on immigration charges in suburban Boston last month.
Both men have been questioned about their involvement in money transfers to Faisal Shahzad, the man suspected of parking an SUV filled with explosive material in Times Square according to the Boston Globe.
Khan has denied any connection to Shahzad. No criminal charges have been filed against the 27-year-old Pakistani gas station attendant or his cousin.
Khan briefly appeared in a federal court in Manhattan Wednesday and was given a court-appointed attorney, the Associated Press reported.
