MANHATTAN — Former child stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen looked distinctly like extra-terrestrials Monday night, alongside model and suspected space-invader Sasha Pivovarova.

The waiflike threesome descended on Lincoln Center for the 2010 Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards, where the Queen of the Mothership, model Iman, snatched this year's prize for Fashion Icon.

In addition to hosting Canada's version of "Project Runway," the alien-like model is married to "Space Oddity" David Bowie.

Continuing the evening's unofficial outer-space theme were Paper magazine co-founder Kim Hastreiter, who wore a reflective neon frock, and Vogue Editor Anna Wintour.

Starlets Gwyneth Paltrow and Jessica Biel were there as well, to support award recipients Michael Kors, who won the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, and Marc Jacobs, the Womenswear Designer of the Year.

And fashion up-and-comer Zac Posen was also on hand, accompanied by model and heiress to the Benihana restaurant chain fortune, Devon Aoki.

Meanwhile, at Gracie Mansion, Mayor Michael Bloomberg hosted the Made in NY Awards, honoring "individuals who have made significant contributions to the City’s entertainment industry."

The affair featured a slightly less fashionable guest list, including geek-chic "SNL" star Seth Meyers, actor Dominic Chianese (a.k.a. Uncle Junior from "The Sopranos") and the seemingly wasted star of "Murder, She Wrote" Angela Lansbury.
