MANHATTAN — After honing his act in 24 smaller cities, former "Tonight Show" host Conan O'Brien will return to Manhattan Tuesday for a two-night stint at Radio City Music Hall.

"The Legally Prohibited from being Funny on Television Tour" began on April 12 in Eugene, Oregon, took an embarrassing detour in Canada and will arrive in the Big Apple on Tuesday, just two blocks from the former "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" studio.

The show, which promises "a night of music, comedy, hugging, and the occasional awkward silence," makes light of the comedian's ouster from NBC, according to several reports.

"This is the first time anyone has paid to see me. They've paid me to go away," O'Brien joked at the opening show in Eugene, the Huffington Post reported.

NBC bought out O'Brien's $32 million "Tonight Show" contract after only seven months. O'Brien, 47, had previously hosted the "Late Night with Conan O'Brien."

Tickets to the Radio City shows ran between $44 and $84, before selling out, according to the venue's website.

While the shows will include O'Brien pal Andy Richter and the former "Tonight Show" band, they will not feature some of the shows more popular skits, such as "In the Year 3000" and the "Masturbating Bear," which had appeared in earlier performances.

O'Brien is legally prohibited from performing those as well, according to the New York Daily News.

The red-haired jokester will return to television in the fall with a late night talk show on TBS.
