CITY HALL — In swooping fluorescent figures and bulky bronze forms, six artists reinterpret the human figure for “Statuesque,” City Hall Park’s new art exhibit.

The show, which officially opens Wednesday, features 10 sculptures scattered throughout the plaza and gardens around City Hall. This is the first time the works have been shown in New York and also the first time the six young, international artists have shown their work together.

The sculptors use strikingly different materials and methods to convey their interpretation of the human form. Aaron Curry’s neon figures look like abstract cutouts from giant post-it notes, while Thomas Houseago’s “Untitled (Red Man)” hulks like a mud monster come to life.

The show also includes work by Pawel Althamer, Huma Bhabha, Matthew Monahan and Rebecca Warren.

“Statuesque” is sponsored by the Public Art Fund and runs through Dec. 3.
