MIDTOWN EAST — A group of city officials are hoping to restore the East River waterfront with input from the community.

Community Board 6 and officials including Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney and State Senator Liz Krueger will hold a 2 p.m. town hall meeting June 6 at the Schottenstein Cultural Center at 239 East 34th Street to go over proposals to rejuvenate the area.

The group will discuss the proposed expansion of the UN Campus and the Robert Moses Playground as well as the new East River Waterfront Esplanade and a new public park at the East 38th Street pier.

Adrian Benepe, commissioner of the Department of Parks and Madelyn Wils of the Economic Development Corporation were both expected to make presentations at the meeting.
