MANHATTAN — Welcome to the paparazzi, Greyson Michael Chance.

The 12-year-old YouTube sensation who's cover of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" at a sixth grade talent show has been viewed more than 8 million times, was in the spotlight Thursday morning with an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."

And if his meteoric rise to fame wasn't enough to make the Justin Bieber-esque middle schooler's head explode, the woman Ellen had waiting on the "Telephone" certainly did.

"Hi, Miss Gaga," Chance said, stunned, once he was put through to the Upper East Side-native superstar.

“Have you seen the video?” DeGeneres asked Lady Gaga.

“I did,” Lady Gaga replied. “Greyson, you’re so sweet and so talented. And I was so excited that you covered 'Paparazzi' and everyone loves you so much so just keep following your dreams and work really hard and stay away from girls and be focused.”

But it may be too late for that.

“People must be treating you differently,” said DeGeneres. “Because the girls’ faces [on the YouTube video], you can just watch them falling in love with you.”

Chance giggled.

“Let’s just say I’ve gotten a lot of phone numbers,” said Chance.

Hopefully, he won't get caught in a "Bad Romance."

Lady Gaga will perform with Elton John and Sting at Carnegie Hall Thursday night to celebrate the Rainforest Fund’s 21st birthday.
