MANHATTAN — Disgraced Giant legend Lawrence Taylor claims he did not have sexual intercourse with the underage girl he's accused of raping. Instead, he claims he touched himself.
That's the new line of defense the hall-of-fame linebacker is taking in his rape case, TMZ.com reported.
Citing an unnamed source, the website said Taylor doesn't deny he was in the same Rockland County hotel room with the 16-year-old girl, but asserts he didn't have sex with her. He said he engaged in a "masturbatory act," the source told TMZ.
According to New York State law, a third degree rape charge is applicable only of intercourse takes place, TMZ said. The criminal complaint against Taylor says only that he engaged in "sex acts" with the girl, not intercourse, the site reported.
TMZ also reported that a condom was found in the hotel room, but that Taylor's lawyers will argue that it wasn't his and wasn't used.
