MANHATTAN — Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez may be an item, but don't expect to see her in the stands at Yankee Stadium like Alex Rodriguez's famous ex Kate Hudson, according to celeb gossip reports.
A-Rod has told Diaz to stay away from the stadium this summer, BettyConfidential.com reported, lest she get too clingy, which is supposedly what broke up the Yanks' slugger and Hudson.
"He doesn't want what happened to him and Kate to happen between him and Cameron," a source told the site. "Kate was at every New York game and then some and even went to Alex's game practice. Things got too clingy too fast."
Hudson was a fixture at Yankee games last season, from the Bombers run to the playoffs and through to their World Series win. She was also a lucky charm for the third baseman.
A-Rod was batting a mere .257 when Hudson made her first appearance at the stadium last May. He hit .337 from then on, and then went on to hit over .500 in the playoffs on his way to his first World Series ring, according to a DNAinfo graphic.
Diaz and A-Rod have apparently been an item since February, after they met at a Super Bowl party in Miami.
Earlier this month, they were spotted dining with Kate Winslet at the Hotel Griffou. Later that night, the couple went back to A-Rod's Central Park West bachelor pad, where Diaz reportedly spent the night, the New York Post reported.
