MANHATTAN — The New York Jets are the hottest ticket in town according to the NFL schedule makers.

The Jets will have five nationally televised games in prime time, including three home games, according to the official 2010 NFL schedule announced on Tuesday night.

The offseason additions of LaDainlian Tomlinson, Santonio Holmes, Antonio Cromartie and Jason Taylor have garnered the Jets back page headlines and raised expectations for next season.

The Jets open the regular season against the Baltimore Ravens at their new $1.4 billion Meadowlands Stadium in the first Monday night game of the year on Sept. 13.

The Rex Ryan coached team exceeded expectations last season by making it to the AFC Championship game behind rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez.

Sanchez and the Jets will host the Minnesota Vikings, and possibly quarterback Brett Favre, in another Monday night game on Oct. 11.

Gang Green fans will also have something to look forward to on Thanksgiving after eating their turkey dinner as the Jets host the Cincinnati Bengals in the last of three NFL games slated for the holiday.

The Giants, who missed the playoffs in 2009, will be featured in only three prime time games, but they'll get the honor of playing the first regular season game at the new Meadowlands Stadium on Sept. 12 against the Carolina Panthers.

Big Blue's only Monday Night Football game will be at the Dallas Cowboys on Oct. 25.

The Jets and Giants will kick off the preseason Aug. 16 in the first football game at Meadowlands Stadium.
