MANHATTAN CRIMINAL COURT — A 19-year-old charged with killing two men on the 2 train after he was hit in the head with a beer bottle appeared close to fainting in court on Wednesday before a judge denied him release on bail for the second time.
A nervous and shaking Brenddy Garcia was in court facing murder charges while his family shed tears for the teen in the gallery.
Garcia is accused of killing Darnell Morel and Ricardo Williams, both 24 and from Brooklyn, who were found stabbed multiple times in the torso on a 2 train on March 28 after a night of partying.
They were "all openly drinking alcohol on the train" and said "disgusting sexual things" to a woman sitting alone before targeting Garcia and his friends, said Pamela Roth, Garcia's attorney. She said the two victims were part of the group of mostly men who entered the train in Midtown and started provoking everyone around them.
Roth believes the rowdy pack were part of a Brooklyn street gang called "Eastern Parkway Gambinos."
She said a friend and gang associate of Morrel's, who was present that night, posted a YouTube video apparently threatening Garcia and paid tribute to "Giddy," which she said was Morrel's alias.

"Death to that nigga, that killed Giddy over in the city," YouTube user "Ablo973" sang.
"Yeah, I'm gonna squeeze when i see you. No matter where you at," he continued.
Franklin Varella, 21, of Inwood, and Diogenes Hernandez, 21, of Queens, were the friends riding downtown with Garcia on the fatal night, court documents showed.
Both were arrested but prosecutors did not charge them, citing insufficient evidence.
