MANHATTAN — The actress on "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" who plays Detective Alexandra Eames has become embroiled in a stalking drama, the New York Post reported.
Kathryn Erbe, who stars in the NBC crime drama, is the victim of a fan who has allegedly sent her several troubling letters and e-mails, says the Post.
The alleged stalker, Charles Nagel, sent love letters to Erbe’s Brooklyn home for the past three years and frequently showed up at the "Law & Order" sets in New York and California.
Nagel, 36, was arrested Tuesday in Philadelphia on a warrant by the NYPD and is being held pending an extradition hearing, according to The Post.
The alleged stalker is a self-described songwriter from Philadelphia who goes by the stage name Chaz Rose. His MySpace page includes a song from Rose titled “Cold Blooded Animal” and at least one private blog post referencing the show.
“I have been a big fan of yours for over two years! Watching your L&O posts was much fun!” a disappointed fan posted to Nagel’s page Sunday. “Explain! Or are you still in police custody?”
