Time Warner, one of the major Internet providers to Manhattanites, is teaming up with Cablevision to offer free access to Wi-Fi across Manhattan and the rest of New York.

New Wi-Fi zones will be offered by Time Warner at Bryant Park, Madison Square Park and the 79th Street Boat Basin, but customers will also be able to access thousands of Optimum Wi-Fi hotspots free.

The LIRR Port Washington line will also have Wi-Fi hotspots on eight platforms and a number of parks in Queens will be connected up.

A complete list of free WiFi hotspots is available here.
