MIDTOWN WEST — A body was found on the roof of a parking garage next to an apartment building Wednesday on W. 48th Street, across from Rockefeller Center.
Police said the man died after an apparent suicide around 2:21 p.m.
The garage is next door to the 34-story Centria apartment building.
An employee at the parking garage said he was in his office when he felt the building shake.
He and some other workers ran to the roof and saw the body split open in several places. The dead man was wearing what appeared to be a blue uniform.
