MANHATTAN — A slimmer Rex Ryan said he was feeling good and was spotted recovering in Jets fleece pajamas after undergoing a weight-loss operation this weekend.

Ryan had lap-band surgery at NYU Medical Center in Murray Hill. The operation reduced the size of Ryan's stomach by placing a band around it that restricts its size. The surgery also curbs appetite.

"I'm feeling good," Ryan told a New York Post reporter over the weekend. "I'm feeling fine."

The coach was wearing fleece Jets pajamas, the Post said, in line with an earlier promise to wear nothing but team clothes both on and off-season.

The larger-than-life coach weighed in at 340 pounds at the start of training camp last year. He frequently made fun of his size, but he also took his health seriously.

"I want to see my kids grow," he has said, the Daily News reported. "I want to see my grandkids."
