Rex Ryan's middle finger has taken a back seat to his giant belly.
Pictures of the Jets head coach's big belly being exposed at an NHL hockey game in Raleigh, N.C., have made their way into newspapers, newscasts and blogs across the country.
Ryan, who has been known to make fun of his weight problems, showed up to a Panthers-Hurricanes hockey game on Tuesday wearing a Philadelphia Flyers jersey, the New York Post reported. The Carolina Hurricanes ice girls spotted Ryan and gave him a Hurricanes sweater to wear instead.
The hefty Jets head coach immediately changed into the sweater in front of the ice girls and 18,393 people watching on the arena's video screen. When he took off the Flyers jersey, his undershirt began to creep up and Ryan's sizable belly was exposed for the world to see.
Almost two weeks ago, Ryan made headlines and was fined $50,000 by the Jets after he flipped off some Dolphins fans at an MMA event in Miami during Super Bowl week.
Luckily for Ryan, unlike finger wagging incident, he wardrobe malfunction won't likely warrant a fine. But that won't stop the weight jokes and friendly ridicule from pouring in.
