This is your DNAinfo evening update for Thursday January 14th. A clear night ahead with lows in the 30s. A nice day tomorrow, sunny with highs in the mid-40s.

In your headlines: A Carnegie Hill man's plans for a private driveway were kicked to the curb on Wednesday. He said he needed it for his elderly relatives. Neighbors called the driveway a disturbance and Community Board 8 rejected his application.

Conan O'Brien has reportedly called it quits with NBC after the network announced it wanted Jay Leno back in the 11:35 p.m. slot. According to People.com, Conan could leave “The Tonight Show” after a final episode a week from Friday.

And, Manhattanites are trying to rescue a cat living in the East Broadway train station. Locals made several attempts to trap the F-train feline, but word around the tracks is, the calico cat is still at large.
