MANHATTAN — Johnson & Johnson heiress Casey Johnson's sudden death has created a dog fight between her socialite friends and tawdry fiancee, Tila Tequila.
Tequila summoned the Los Angeles Police Department to her home Wednesday alleging that Johnson's friends Nicky Hilton and Bijou Phillips were trying to break in and take Johnson's two dogs, the New York Post reported.
Hilton and Phillips loaded a black SUV with Johnson's belongings and her dogs as cameras rolled and Tequila cried to the press.
In interviews with media outlets, Tequila claimed the women wanted to bury the dogs with Johnson, the paper reported.
Phillips denied the accusation.
Casey Johnson had a strong attachment to her dogs, reportedly dropping out of Brown University in part due to their no pets policy in the dorms, the Daily News reported.
After leaving school, Johnson went to work with Manhattan uber-publicist Lizzie Grubman, who also noted her attachment to her dogs.
"She wasn't spoiled, she went with the flow," Grubman told the News. "Except the dog. The dog had to come to work."
