MANHATTAN — Good morning this is your DNAinfo update for Monday, Jan. 4.

The deep freeze continues. It's in the low 20s now but it feels like it's in the single digits. Today will be partly cloudy, windy and cold with a high of 32 that will feel more like 18 degrees.

In your headlines, Newark Airport is getting back to normal after a security lockdown in Terminal C last night. Passengers were re-screened and flights were delayed for hours after a man walked down a security checkpoint exit lane into the secure area. The man was never found but security swept the terminal and said everything was secure.

In Morningside Heights, A 9-year-old boy was stabbed to death by a mentally ill man in early Sunday morning. The boy, Anthony Maldonado, was left in the man's care to play video games.

And finally, the Jets have done it. They snagged a playoff spot by beating the Cincinnati Bengals 37-0 last night. It was likely the last game ever played in Giants Stadium before it's torn down. The Jets will face the Bengals again this Sunday in the first round of the playoffs.
