MANHATTAN — Good morning this is your DNAinfo update for Wednesday, December 30th.

It's not as miserable as yesterday, it's in the low 20s now. Plenty of sunshine and a high of 32 degrees later today.

Looking around the neighborhoods, on the Upper West Side a water main break closed Central Park West and snarled subway service this morning. The A and D lines were suspended for a time after water flooded tracks near 105th Street.

A woman is suing a Lower East Side restaurant after she claims a 150-pound decorative moose head fell off the wall and hit her in the head.

The New York Mets will get some much needed help from Red Sox slugger Jason Bay. Bay is expected to sign a four-year $65 million contract with the Mets.

You don't often hear the words caviar and soup kitchen in the same sentence. But that's what's on the menu today at Broadway Community soup kitchen in Morningside Heights. The $1,100 tin of caviar was given by an anonymous donor.
